Ramadan transforms Dubai into a contemplative, generous and nightlife city. Days are easy and evenings are bright following the time of sunset. Restaurants open extra menus, mosques have people worshipping, and markets are decorated with lanterns.
This season is unique and therefore can be enjoyed by residents and tourists. Moreover, there is both traditional and modern luxury during Ramadan in Dubai. These are the best activities that you cannot forgo in your tours to the city of Dubai during the month of Ramadan, 2026.

The breaking of fast occurs after sunset, and this is known as Iftar. It happens to be one of the expected dining experiences of the year in Dubai. Hotels that are luxurious prepare massive Ramadan tents with a specially made buffet menu and live cooking stations.
One of the common Iftar buffets in the city is the Asateer Tent in Atlantis The Palm. The tourists are served Middle East delicacies, live shawarma and seafood stalls in a glamorous waterside facility. In the meantime, Jumeirah Al Qasr is a restaurant that has garden-style Ramadan cuisine with Arabic desserts and traditional orientation.
The Al Fanar Restaurant and Cafe is a good location to enjoy the traditional Emirati delicacies of machboos, harees and luqaimat in a traditional environment.
Iftars start with Maghrib prayer, followed by sunset. This would imply that the reservations should be carried out, particularly during weekends and the last ten days of Ramadan.

Suhoor is the meal that is consumed before resuming fasting. In Dubai, however, Suhoor is a social event and one that goes on much after midnight. Hotels and lounges are turned into comfortable Arabic majlis-like places.
Madinat Jumeirah has a Ramadan garden, in which the Suhoor is celebrated, accompanied by a live oud show. The Address Downtown, in the meantime, has a Suhoor terrace on Burj Khalifa.
The shisha bars in Dubai Marina and Downtown Dubai are not shutting down at an early time in the night. Its visitors have a mezze meal, kunafa, Umm Ali and other common Ramadan drinks such as Jallab.
Suhoor may be regarded as one of the finest Ramadan experiences in Dubai; the atmosphere is not too strained, and it is a bit colder than during the day.

Old Dubai is more traditional in the spirit of Ramadan. The weather becomes colder after the sun goes down, and venturing out would be comfortable.
Stroll across the small streets of Al Fahidi Historical District. Art galleries and cultural houses also have the common aspects of Ramadan exhibitions and storytelling. The evening promenade in Dubai Creek is a peaceful experience.
Go to the well known Gold and Spice souk and buy perfumes, saffron and Ramadan desserts. Riding an abra across the creek is also enjoyable at a minimal cost.
Old Dubai has a cultural touch of Ramadan that no other contemporary district possesses.

It is the night markets that create liveliness and festivity in the city during Ramadan. Such markets have been low-key on fashion, handicrafts, lanterns, and craft gifts.
Global Village increases its operating hours in Ramadan. Tourists have access to the representations of various countries, accompanied by a performance based on Ramadan.
Another tourist attraction site is Expo City Dubai where Ramadan nights and food festivals are held. City Walk in the meantime has seasonal pop-ups, live music and family events.
Such markets are also usually opened following the Iftar till late in the evening, providing visitors with a lively yet, on the other hand, respectable Ramadan ambience.

Generosity is greatly emphasised in Ramadan in Dubai. There are open Iftar tents in the city, and thousands of meals are served daily to the public.
Community gatherings in organisations and mosques give the residents an opportunity to volunteer to distribute food. Regions around labour housing and industrial areas usually experience massive meal distribution programmes.
This is the month of charity campaigns. The boxes of donations are placed in malls, supermarkets, and mosques. There are numerous residents who are involved in food package distribution and fundraising programmes.
There are numerous experiences of observing or taking part in these events in a decent way, and since it is beyond tourism, it makes the Ramadan experience meaningful.

Ramadan is the best chance of becoming familiar with Islamic traditions. Jumeirah Mosque has guided tours as part of the Open Doors, Open Minds programme. In these classes, the principles of prayer, fasting as well as the concept of Ramadan are discussed.
There are also cultural meals and classes at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre of Cultural Understanding in Al Fahidi. Tourists will be able to ask questions freely in a decent atmosphere.
Wear respectful clothing when making visits to mosques. It is expected that women cover their hair, and the clothes that men and women wear should be modest. There is also the need to behave in a polite manner.

A desert safari in Ramadan is particularly unforgettable. In Bedouin-like camps, many operators offer sunset dune drives and Iftar.
Visitors spend their evening having dinner and looking at the sunset on the dunes. Food like grilled meat, Arabic rice and salads are served on tents with lanterns. After dinner, cultural shows such as Tanoura dancing and fire shows tend to be popular.
Night temperatures are cool and thus make the experiences in the desert comfortable. Watching the stars in the desolate desert leaves a serene Ramadan experience.

Dubai has a major shopping season that is commemorated by Ramadan. The large malls are open till late at night.
Promotional campaigns and decorations are done in the Dubai Mall in the spirit of Ramadan. In the meantime, Mall of the Emirates has Eid collections and family entertainment programmes.
Luxury brands release small fashion edits in Ramadan. Home decor stores advertise lanterns, tableware and ornaments. Most people go shopping late at night, after Iftar, which gives a lively atmosphere throughout the retail districts. Ramadan shopping is festive and convenient as it has long hours in this month.
In Dubai, Ramadan is a spiritual, cultural and festive affair. The metropolis is slow during the day; however, it changes once the sun sets. There are iconic Iftar tents, walk-throughs along the creek and every evening there is something different.
In addition, charity events and the visit to the mosque contribute to the cultural and islamic knowledge. Be it luxury food, desert touring, or heritage culture, during Ramadan, there is a special occasion to explore Dubai in a decent manner.
