This also gives a very central location to bigger hospitals in Jumeirah and Downtown. There is no need to travel far to find a quick doctor visit, childcare, or schooling. The location is on the border of the congestion caused so closely by Downtown and other major tourist attractions, so during peak hours or when an event is organised at Coca-Cola Arena, the traffic can be a problem.
Delays to access Sheikh Zayed Road may be experienced, and parking in public places is usually occupied on the weekend. This can be an added stress on residents who drive on a daily basis and are able to lead a convenient lifestyle.
Dubai Metro is highly functional, but just outside City Walk, there is no convenient connection to a station. The closest metro station is accessible either by car or on foot, taking some considerable time, which may be hectic during the summer.
This is a disadvantage to people who prefer travelling using public transport on a regular basis. Although the walkability of the community can replace local errands, it is not as convenient to cross Dubai as in other neighbourhoods, such as Downtown or Marina.
The fun in City Walk is that of an urban hub; at the same time, it is chaotic, noisy, and crowded.
Although the vibrancy is a part of the City Walk, it does not suit individuals who prefer a quiet, suburban-like setting.
